Yves Messy is BankLink’s Chief Technology Officer. Yves is a visionary technologist with an impressive track record of success in applying cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, AI, and blockchain to revolutionize the financial industry.

Yves’s entrepreneurial journey began with a groundbreaking startup incubated at the University of Toronto, where he led a team of doctoral students in developing an AI-powered platform for predicting political risks and their impact on global financial markets. Inspired by interactions with industry leaders like Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum) and the founder of MongoDB, Yves shifted his focus to the transformative potential of emerging technologies in finance.

Yves honed his expertise as a Solutions Architect at R3, a leading enterprise blockchain firm, where he spearheaded the development of innovative blockchain solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions and central banks across the globe. Yves then transitioned to the decentralized world, serving as CTO for several pioneering blockchain ventures, including CUDOS (decentralized cloud computing), Peggy (Ethereum-Cosmos bridge), and Distrikt (social network on DFINITY). His contributions extended to groundbreaking initiatives like the EUIPO’s blockchain integration and the creation of innovative platforms like ANIMA (SEBA initially and first crypto bank to receive a universal banking license), PostFinanz (first Swiss Postal Service to offer cryfinancial services), Sygnum (second Swiss crypto bank with a universal license), and Archax (first FCA approved MTF on chain).
